Explore both the primary and secondary forest of Matapalo where you can see many of the animals that also live in Corcovado National Park. You are likely to see all four species of monkeys the Capuchin, Howler, Spider and Squirrel. Also, you may see scarlet macaws, toucans, sloths, agoutis, coatis, iguanas, frogs and many different species of birds. Besides hiking through the forest and enjoying the beaches, you will also see the beautiful Matapalo waterfall, where you can climb and swim in its pools to cool off. This tour departs from Puerto Jimenez at 5:30 am and the returns is approximately at 2:00 pm.
