On day 1 you will spend the morning hiking in Matapalo where you are likely to see wildlife such as four different types of monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, and toucans. You will also see the beautiful Matapalo waterfall and visit the beaches.
After lunch you will continue your discovery of the Osa as you travel to Playa Carate. Leaving from Playa Carate, you will hike 3km along the beach until you arrive at La Leona Lodge, where you will spend the night.
On day 2 you will head into the park and spend the full day hiking. Animals you will likely encounter include anteaters, coatis, agoutis, monkeys, and more. At the end of the day you will hike back to Playa Carate and from there you will return to Puerto Jimenez.
